Margaret Whalen, age 95, of Hale Makua, Wailuku, Hawaii, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

She was born December 19,1916 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was married to Harry Bowlus, had a son, and a daughter, Barbara Ann (Bowlus) Laird, lived in Hazel Park, Michigan from 1950 to 1961. She moved to Covina, California in 1961. In 1970 Margaret married Ed Whalen and moved to McKeesport, Pa. In 2007 Margaret moved to Hawaii where she lived at Kalama Heights for 3 years before moving to Hale Makua.

Margaret is survived by her son, Bob Bowlus of Paia, Hawaii, Grandsons Corey Bowlus of Makawao, Hawaii, Kevin Bowlus of Lakeside, California, Coby Laird of Laguna Beach, California, Granddaughter Dana Laird, of Laguna Beach, California and Great Grandsons: Dylan Bowlus, Seth Laird, and Ethan Delamater, and Great Granddaughters: Kylie Bowlus, Sydnie Bowlus, and Leeann Marie Delamater.
