Agustin Dela Cruz

May 28, 1948 - January 30, 2022

In loving memory of Tatang Agustin Dela Cruz. He was born on May 28, 1948 in Lanao Bangui Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is the 4th fruit of the late Cornelio & Marlina Dela Cruz. Agustin married Zenaida Suniga and had six children. Agustin was a hardworking man. During his life, he used to buy and sell fruit and vegetables at Batac Public Market. He was like a small businessman whereby he bought vegetables and then sold them to the market and went to the river to catch fish and shrimp to feed his family. He was a very busy man who wanted to give everything he could to his children and grandchildren. He was a very nice person to every one of his friends. In 2015, Agustin and Zenaida moved to Hawaii. He worked at Alii linen for a year as a sorter, while picking cans and bottles to make extra money. In 2017, he decided to find different jobs to earn a bit more than he was making. He found jobs as a dishwasher at Fleetwood and Lahaina Yacht Club restaurant. He worked at Fleetwood from 7 am to 3 pm and then he would work at Lahaina Yacht club from 4 pm to 10:30 pm. He also worked as a sweeper part-time. Agustin would also go with his friends to kill cattle and pigs to sell them to neighbors so that he could earn more money. After work, he would go find plastic bottles or cans on his bike and then he would ride back home and the end of the day. Agustin will be missed dearly.
