Letitia Perri

Letitia “Tish” Perri born on May 11, 1930, in New York City, passed away peacefully in her home on March 19, 2022. Her father was Joseph Versace and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Lynchosky. She was raised by her natural grandparents in Pennsylvania. In 1948, she moved to Detroit Michigan, where she attended college at Wayne University, while also working at “The Detroit News.” In 1960, she moved to California with her grandmother, “mum”, and she worked at “The Great American Insurance Co.” for 12 years. She moved to Hawaii after mum passed away in September 1976. In 1977, she became a licensed realtor for 22 years. Socially, she supported “Meals on Wheels” by delivering to 25 clients, and she was a member of “The Soroptimist of West Maui", a group of business and professional women who help other women achieve their goals. In addition, Tish was a bowling coach for the Special Olympics and assisted Sacred Hearts School Bazaar in the malasada department, where she had to learn to “shake the bag, not the body.” Tish was voted as one of three”Women of Distinction '' in 1981 by Soroptimist of West Maui. She was honored to have been a recipient of Holy Communion from St. John Paul II in 1995, at the Beatification ceremony of Fr. Damien. Tish is survived by several cousins, namely Terri and Pilar Deportillo, Alex Brugge and Theresa Lynchosky. Tish was a well liked and respected neighbor and friend to many in her church and home communities. She will be greatly missed. May perpetual light shine upon you. May you rest in peace Dear One.
