William “Willy” Dutro III, 78 of Wailuku, Maui Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on October 19, 1942 in Wailuku, Maui to William “Peacock” Dutro Jr. and Margaret Waiwaiole. He was predeceased by his sister Bertha (John) Patao. He is survived by his daughters Lalena Dutro (Jose) Carrizosa, Leeona “Aki” (Travis) Raymond, Lyslie “Ipo” Dutro (Lindsey) Ching, Alia (Al) Garcia, & Chelsea (Darrin) Reklai. Sons William Dutro IV & Warrick (Kimberlei) Dutro. Sisters Barbara (Barry) Kawaa, Jean Uratani, Audrey (Val) Patao & Valorey (John) Ng. 17 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. Best friends Leona J. Dutro, Liana Kakugawa, and companion Shelly (Justin) Castro. Hanai sons, Preston Alvarado, Earl Vida Jr, Daniel Vinge, Etsuo Lassen, & Ikaika Reinhardt. Services will be held at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku on Friday, March 26, 2021. Visitation from 9-10am (Ohana) 10-11am (Public) private service from 11-11:45am, 11:45-12:45 public viewing. Drive through from 1:30-2:30pm at the main cemetery of Maui Memorial Park, please remain in vehicles, with burial at 2:30. Our dad Willy loved to play golf and he had a love for roosters. He supported all his children & grandchildren by attending their sports games, & school events. His unconditional love for everyone will truly be missed. He loved seeing & talking story with his ohana and friends at Tasty Crust, Shiek’s, Blazin Steaks, Bamboo Gril, Sack N Save, Longs, Home Maid Bakery, NomNom Lower Main, and Wailuku Town. He worked for Pino’s Restaurant, the old Maui Zoo, The Maui News, MEO Bus Driver, and later retired from the County of Maui as a Sanitation Engineer “Opala Picker” in 2005. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, everyone must wear a face mask at all times, seating is limited to family members only. Walk in is limited to 10 persons at a time with social distancing in place.
