Penny Wakida
I remember so vividly working with Al at Lahainaluna High School. I was an English teacher and we shared occasional snacks in a tiny teacher's lounge downstairs from his classroom. One of his favorite expressions used sometimes seriously, sometimes in jest, was "Time on Task", a phrase drummed into us from one of our many workshops It meant "use the classroom time efficiently. Al was an excellent teacher and respected by his students. Lahainaluna will always hold his memory in its family.
