A. Ransom Wong's Obituary
A. Ransom Wong, 85 from Wailuku, Maui passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2023. He was born on December 17, 1937 to Albert and Laura (Deponte) Wong.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Diane (Viela) Wong; son, Keith R. Wong (Lynn), step-daughter, Catharine Cummings and step-son Melvin D. Cummings, Jr.
Ransom graduated from Baldwin High School in 1956, attended Pepperdine University and graduated in 1961. He taught at Lanai High School for 2 years and in 1964 he taught at Maui High School till he retired on July 1, 1997 as an Outreach Counselor.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Nakamura Mortuary located at 1218 Lower Main Street, Wailuku, Hawaii 96793. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
