Agnes Akiyo Bowman's Obituary
Agnes Akiyo Bowman, 97, of Kahului, Maui, passed away on November 17, 2025. She was
born on October 31, 1928, in Puunene, Maui, to the late Tokio and Misao Inouye.
Agnes was the second oldest of six children and was preceded in death by her siblings
Richard, Fred, Judy, Sam, and Pauline. She spent many years working in sales on Maui and
O‘ahu, including at Runway 7, Robins, and Shirokiya, before retiring in 1996. Agnes was
known for her kindness, humility, and dedication to her family. She especially cherished her
time as a grandmother, traveling often to visit her grandchildren and always putting her loved
ones first.
Agnes is survived by her four children: James (Teresa), Glen (Shawna), Cynthia (Bryan), and
Allene (Greg); as well as her grandchildren: Annette (Nicolette), Alixsandra, Mitchell, Kiana,
Makenna, Liana, Bryson, Cheyne (Roxanne), Shaun, and Nicholas. She also leaves behind
great-grandchildren Kameron, Braxton, and Kyrie.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering generosity, her devotion and
faithfulness to Jehovah God, and the deep love she had for her family.
Services were held on December 16th on Maui
