Dear Cousin Alan,
My your new journey be blessed with God's prayers. Lynn Kenney
To all of Alan's family,
It was a pleasure to have known Alan for many years, starting in 1967 as his patient.
We moved back to the Big Island in '82 and upon returning in 2000, Alan welcomed us back to his practice. I had many a fun chat with him while in the chair and will miss his happy welcome of "Mr Carl" when he entered the room. Plus his expert and caring maintenance of my teeth.
Sadly, along with Alan's obituary, my wife's obituary was on the previous page.
Me Ke Aloha Pumehana, Carl "Soot" Bredhoff
I am very sorry to hear the passing of Alan..
I will be always grateful for Alan welcoming me and my wife Cindy to the Maui County Dental Society when we moved here in 1974..Alan was also instrumental in having me being nominated to the Hawaii Board of Dental Examiners and introducing me to the other neighbor island board members.
Alan set the bar as a highly skilled and compassionate dentist, giving back to the profession and community and set an example of a good and loving family man.
I consider Alan to be a friend and mentor and will miss his jovial personality, hardy appetite and funny stories at our MCDS meeting and seminars. Aloha my friend and have a safe journey...Dennis Ishimoto
