I was a girlfriend of Chuck's while in Eugene. We were together off and on for a few years. Lots of ups and downs because of his wildness and I suppose mine as well. Chuck was one of a kind! Who is very generous, was not a good boyfriend but he was always a good friend and always always there if I needed something. I just saw today that he had passed away a few years back. It breaks my heart. The last time I talked to him he said he had a serious girlfriend and she kept trying to him that they should get married. I told him that's exactly what he should do. It looks like he didn't do that but it does look like he had a companion and I'm so glad for that. It takes someone with a lot of patience to wait for a Chuck to get around to you. But when he did it was worth it.
I attended his sister's wedding reception and in fact I still have the vase that her husband and her made that was placed on each table.
I was very grateful to his parents for accepting me into their home for our visit
