Albert Moikeha Honokaupu's Obituary
Albert Moikeha Honokaupu, 83, of Kailua, Maui passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025,
at Hospice Maui, in Wailuku. He was born in Kailua, Maui on July 9, 1941, where he lived
his entire life. He was a very quiet, kind, and humble man who would do anything for
anyone. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to
Hawaiian music.
Albert graduated from Maui High School. He worked at East Maui Irrigation Company;
retired as a Superintendent in 2003 after over 30 years of service. He also served in the
National Guard.
Albert is preceded in death by the love of his life, Jackie Honokaupu and granddaughter
Chalsea-Marie Honokaupu. He is survived by his sons Abel Honokaupu and Albert [Dino]
Honokaupu, grandson Keo Honokaupu and great grandson Kimo Wagg. He leaves behind
his brothers Andrew [Theresa] Honokaupu, James Honokaupu, and Robert [Della]
Honokaupu, a hanai sister Ipo Burns and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service honoring Albert will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2025, at Nakamura Mortuary.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm and services at 7:30pm with cremation to follow.
The burial will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2:00pm in Wailuku in the Garden Of
Meditation at Maui Memorial Park.
