Alfred Zagurski's Obituary
Alfred Zagurski, 90, of kahului, passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2015, with Hospice Maui, and others who loved him, by his side. Those closest to Mr. Zagurski held private service for him.
Al, as his friends knew him, was born on November 18, 1924, here in Hawaii. He led a simple and quiet life on Maui. He was a very private person. One of his friends mentioned that he “quietly did his own thing”. He worked at Maui Soda and Ice Works for many, many years, and had a successful career there.
Al’s joy in life was going to New York on his vacations. He was very intelligent and inquisitive, and he enjoyed walking around New York City discovering interesting and new places. Al was a voracious reader and collected a variety of books and periodicals, ranging in subject matter from nature to cooking to finances. He truly enjoyed his simple, quiet life.
Al is survived by his close friends of hanai ohana, who will miss him deeply for a very long time...
