Allen Yuji Ibara Sr.'s Obituary
Allen Yuji Ibara Sr., 86, of Haliimaile passed away on January 25, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
There will be a drive by service at the Ibara residence from 9 AM - 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2021; with a graveside service and burial at 12 PM, St. Joseph Cemetery, Makawao. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Allen was born in Hana, Maui to Kazuo and Yoneko Ibara.
Allen worked for Maui Land and Pineapple Co. for many years until he retired as a Tractor Department Supervisor in 1998. He also worked part time for the County of Maui Parks and Recreation as an Official.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Ibara.
Allen is survived by his children, Allen Ibara Jr. (Tami), Terri Ibara (Bula), and Keith Ibara; grandchildren, Zaylen Andrade, Ryana (Joshua) Emmanuel, Keanie Ibara, Kaleikaumaka Nomura, Reece Ibara, Chaze Ibara; great-grandchildren, Tayvia Rodrigues, Jacob Emmanuel; his brothers, Richard Ibara, and Roland Ibara; and sisters, Shirley King, and June Takenaka.
In his spare time, he loved bowling, fishing, and had a special interest in growing various plants and trees. He also loved going to Las Vegas with his twin brother and friends.
The family would like to thank Island Hospice Maui, especially, Mindy, Pauahi, Vivian, Lauren, and Erin for their loving care.
