Amy Emiko Silva's Obituary
Amy Silva, 89 of Kahului passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 at Kula Hospital under Hospice care. The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to Kula Hospital for the care and service provided to Amy during her stay there.
Amy was born in Wailuku, Maui on December 23, 1931 to the late Robert and Yuri Yoshizawa. She worked at her dad's paint shop in Wailuku, Roberts Hawaii, Hawaiian Airlines and Kahului Airport as a supervisor for the Visitor Information Program.
Amy was the "boss" of the family which she enjoyed spending time with. She loved animals, but mostly her dogs which she had throughout her lifetime. She also loved traveling, but Las Vegas was her favorite place which she often went with her companion Mike and her family.
Amy is survived by her daughter Phyllis (Richard) Arase, sons Randall (Dannett)Silva, David (Debbie) Silva, Paul (Tracy) Silva, and Mark (Rachel) Silva. She also leaves behind 16 Grandchildren, and 14 Great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Nakamura's Mortuary on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Buddhist service at 1030am. Visitation from 1100am-1200. With Catholic Service to follow (12:00).
