Anastacio Dadiz Asuncion's Obituary
Anastacio Dadiz Asuncion, 80, of Lahaina, passed away peacefully at Queen’s Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family on August 6, 2016.
Services honoring Mr. Asuncion will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Friday, August 19, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, with services to follow at 11:00am. He will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
Anastacio was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on April 25, 1936 to Esteban & Claudia (Dadiz) Asuncion. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Zenaida Fajardo and together they had three children. In the Philippines, he earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and was able to move to Maui in 1971, under a professional visa. He became the crew chief in the irrigation department for Pioneer Mill for over 25 years. In the evenings, he was a steward at the Hyatt Regency for over 21 years. He will be remembered as a hardworking man, who was kind hearted and generous.
Anastacio leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 50 years, Zenaida Asuncion; sons, Alan Asuncion of Lahaina, and Noel Asuncion of Seattle; and brother, Lucio Asuncion of the Philippines. He also leaves behind a host of treasured family members. In heaven, he will join his parents, and son, Francis Asuncion.
