Anh Nguyen, 73 of Wailuku passed away on October 30 at Hospice Maui. He was born on January 12, 1950, in Saigon Vietnam. Anh was a retired businessman who was well known as the “Shave Ice Truck Man” in Lahaina in the 80s and 90s. Read Obituary

Like Anh Nguyen, I was one of the Vietnamese refugees in 1975. I met Anh,his beautiful wife Thu and family soon after moving to Maui 1978. There were two other Vietnamese families were also in our little Vietnamese community. Anh and his family were so friendly and welcoming us. I remembered Anh and Thu were helping others Vietnamese families with their food truck’s business started . We will surely miss seeing Anh and his cheerful smile, his service for his fellow citizens and all those who received the best food service from him. Sending our deepest condolences to his family.
