Ann Easley Jenkins' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce that
Ann Easly Jenkins, 93, a beloved mother/grandmother/great-grandmother passed away peacefully at 6:00pm on July 28th, 2025. lovingly surrounded and comforted by family, in hospice care at Maui Memorial Hospital. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Born December 31st, 1931, to John W Carter and Alma Carter, in Fayetteville Tennessee (pop~3,800) Ann lived a life filled with love, kindness and generosity to others.
She married William Alexander Jenkins on March 13th, 1955, in Fayetteville Tennessee and began a long and wonderful life together. From their start in Fayetteville to current day Maui their travels were broad spanning from vacations overseas to settled homes throughout the states from Nashville TN, Pensacola FL, Albuquerque NM, Livermore CA, Idaho Falls ID, Grand Junction CO, to current residence in Maui. Together Ann & Bill lovingly raised their children Arden and Bill. At home, Ann created an environment of open communication and unconditional support, empowering her children to pursue their dreams while always being there to offer wisdom and encouragement. Humorous yet useful advice such as "never stick anything in your ear smaller than your elbow".
As a registered nurse (ST Thomas School of Nursing, Nashville), and mother of two, Ann seamlessly transformed from her nursing role into a nurturing mother and devoted wife. She had a gift with her infectious laugh, sweet southern charm and accent, to make everyone feel welcome.
A devout Christian, Ann loved "The Word of God". We may all take solace in knowing she is now in the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior.
Ann is survived by: husband- William Jenkins, daughter- Arden Fontanilla (Jesse), son- Bill Jenkins, and 2 grandchildren- Amber Blackwelder (Donnie) & Shane Fontanilla (Zeena), and 3 great-grandchildren- Jaedyn, Maverick, and Granger Fontanilla.
