Ann Kizel's Obituary
Ann Kizel was born in Germantown PA to Marie J. Menapace Kizel, and Edward F. Kizel. She grew up in the wonderful community of Jenkintown PA. where she was the second oldest of 4 siblings.
Annie attended Jenkintown elementary, middle, junior, and senior high school. And, like her father, she had a wonderful voice and was chosen to represent JHS in the district choir. She was also a very creative and gifted artist, winning best in show at her schools flower and art exhibition. Annie graduated from Jenkintown High school where she was elected the president of her senior class. After high school Annie attended Temple University, then Philadelphia college of textiles where she studied textile design.
To help subsidize her college expenses she began working in restaurants, an occupation she would continue for most of her adult life. She moved to Maui in the early 90's where she continued working in restaurants such as the Chart House, and Pineapple grill where she enjoyed a beautiful lifestyle and made many lifelong friends. After working several years in the restaurant business she had the amazing opportunity to work for a company that organized and ran events for large corporate incentive groups. She traveled extensively and stayed in extremely plush resorts, and, in 2000 she helped organize events at the Olympics at Salt Lake. After working as an event organizer, Annie got her realtors license where she worked for the Hyatt and Diamond resorts.
In January of 2006 Annie's son was born. Raising her son as a single mother, Annie faced many challenges that allowed her form a very unique and close bond with her son. Annie was an amazing Mom and raising her son was the most cherished endeavor of her life.
Ann Kizel is survived by her three brothers, Stephen, Jason (Dawn), and Seth (Denise), one nephew, Taylor, and three nieces, Jacqueline, Mikayla, and Olivia (the Munch).
Annie's family would like to thank the staff at Kaiser Oncology for the amazing care, support, and compassion in a very difficult fight. Her family would also like to thank the first class, and professional staff of Hospice Maui for their support and compassion in a very difficult time.
Please join us in celebrating the amazing life of Annie Kizel at drop off beach (the wall) just North of S turns on February 5, 2022. Her immediate family will perform her scattering outside on the MJ boat, departing Lahaina harbor at 9:00 am, arriving outside drop off beach @ 9:45am, weather permitting.
