Annette Reiko Martin's Obituary
Annette Reiko Martin, 62 of Lahaina, Maui, passed away on April 2, 2017 at her home with her family and close friends at her side.
Services honoring Annette Martin will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku with visitation beginning at 10:00am and memorial service to follow at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at 2:00pm at Maui Memorial Park –Maui View Garden. The family requests casual attire.
Annette was born November 5, 1954 at the Pioneer Mill Company Hospital in Lahaina. A 1972 graduate of Lahainaluna High School, Annette received her Achievement Certificate in Accounting from Leeward Community College on Oahu. Started her hotel career at the Maui Surf Resort (now Westin Maui), moving over to Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, most recently employed at the Royal Lahaina Resort.
She is predeceased by her parents, mother Florence Kiyoko Hashimura and father Sadao “Mimi” Hashimura.
Annette is survived by son Jordan Martin, (husband) Romel D. Martin, brother Galen Hashimura, nephew Jonathan (Cynthia) Hashimura, grand-niece Mila Hashimura. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and in-laws of the Martin, Hashimura and Frances Bedoya ‘ohana.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Aunty Beatrice Bedoya and Hospice Maui, and acknowledge Dr. Carney of the Pacific Cancer Center Foundation / Maui Memorial Hospital and staff for their compassion and care, and also their family and friends for their love and support, and Nakamura Mortuary for all their assistance.
