David Mortensen
Martha and Kim………………So sorry to read of the passing of your mom (aka:Aunty Beth) as she was know to us small kids in the neighborhood. I have many found memories of living/growing up in your guys house, sleep over's, birthday party's, kiling pigeons to eat, playing chase master, spotlight, and all the other mischievous things young boys could get into. But most importantly that shrieking whistle of moms that could be heard for miles, signaling the Watkins boys and whoever was with them it was time to get home, not in five minutes, but now………….
Trust me as I write this, I am laughing out loud as to all the fun and good times we had in our neighborhood, and nobody got hurt, at least not that bad, and most importantly we never hurt anyone !!!!!!!!!! (water balloon fights, eggs at cars (nah not us), chasing the mosquito truck down the road, string across the right of way at night, card games at John Gomes house, sampling the liquor in my parents house, etc, etc, etc………….Sorry Martha maybe giving away to many secrets of all da bradda's, innocent your honor !!!!!!!!
Anyway to the two of you and your families, a very fond aloha, and especially to our Aunty Beth, for helping raise a and nurture a neighborhood of kolohe kids and keeping us on the straight and narrow (loved that lady)………………
All my love and aloha to you all…………………David Mortensen (still living in our house and not moving)
PS: If either of you guys get to Kailua, please come rattle our cage, and we can reminisce the past and laugh !!!!!!!!!!!!
