Beverly Jean Baker's Obituary
Beverly was born on December 9,1950. She was a cherished mother and grandmother,
always surrounded by the love of her family. Beverly passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024
here in the loving paradise of Lahaina, Maui.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 54 years and sister, Janet Lubich. She is
survived by her sons, Brian (Kristen), and Jason (Nicole). She also leaves three
grandchildren, Jackson and Jameson (Brian) and Sophie (Jason).
Beverly’s love and joy for her children and grandchildren will never be forgotten. So many
smiles, memories and loving hours of enjoyment and laughter. With the birth of each child
and grandchild the time and memories were always part of Beverly's discussion. The
endless pictures of all displayed throughout our home portray her everlasting love for family.
Beverly graduated from Strongsville High School where she met the love of her life, Tim at
age 15 in 1965. Their magic could be seen and felt by Beverly’s smile and sparkling eyes
always present. Beverly completed her Master of Education, and became a first grade
teacher in Parma, Ohio. She leaves behind a legacy of love, learning and teaching. Beverly
retired from teaching after 33 years of first grade children. She touched so many first
graders' lives over the 33 years. Many of her students had kept in contact with her over
these 33 years.
Beverly and Tim vacationed to Lahaina Maui, HI annually for 27 wonderful years. She always
embraced the spirit of aloha. This year was special as many dear friends of Lahaina, Maui
lost homes and family members to the devastating Lahaina fire. Maui was Beverly’s second
home. The annual warm welcome from the Marriott Maui Ocean Club staff, management and
dear friends for so many years has been inspiring and rewarding. We have always been
considered Ohana among all our deeply appreciative friends in Lahaina.
Beverly’s memory will be forever cherished by her cousins, nephews, nieces, and the
countless students she inspired. Beverly’s radiant spirit will be missed but never forgotten.
As we bid her farewell, we take comfort in the love she shared and the lives she touched.
Beverly will be cremated at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku, Maui. Her ashes will be shipped
back to her loving family in North Royalton, Ohio.
The Baker family has decided to decline flowers at this time and asks that, instead, all send
sympathy, love and consolation to her loving husband and children.
