Beverly Keany's Obituary
Beverly Keany of Kahului, Maui, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on July 9, 1942, to Cleo Ward Koons and Charlotte Koons, in Queens, New York. Beverly spent her teenage years in Florida, and would later spend time living in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dallas, Texas. In the 1970s, she and her husband Francis Keany moved to Hawaiʻi, which would be the final home for them both. She was a joyful homemaker and a creative, with an adventurous streak that led her to pursue such hobbies as skydiving, motorcycling, and long-distance road-tripping. She was also anti-authoritarian, pugnacious, and spiritual—truly a unique soul, and much loved. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Francis and her son Ralph. She is survived by her children Christine, Karl, Michael, Catherine, and Mary, as well as her faithful canine companion, White Feather. Her family will be holding a private memorial.
