Bomani Kim's Obituary
Bomani J. Kim (BJ), 87, of Wailuku, HI, died on August 8, 2012, in Wailuku, HI.Visitation will be at St. Anthony Church in Kahului on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 10:00am, with services at 10:30. Burial will follow at 2:00pm, at Maui Memorial Park.Mr. Kim was born on Molokai, on October 20, 1924. He lived on Lanai for 13 years, and moved to Maui after graduating high school. He worked for contractors, and later opened Kim’s Building Construction. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and retired from Maui Technical College after 25 years as a Building Instructor. He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Misao Kim.He is survived by sons Sterling (Jasmine), Eric (Jun), Elson (Jeanette), Jason (Yong), Emery (Evelyn); grandchildren Nathan, Rachel, Spencer, Christy, Erinn, Morgan, Madison, Loren, Margaux Kim, and Adrienne (Ryan) Chang; great grandchildren Julian and Brennan Chang.B.J. helped everyone. He served on the building committee at St. Anthony Church, where his last project was reroofing the church buildings.
