Carl Kaiama's Obituary
Carl Kaiama, 92, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. Born in 1933 in Hana, Maui, he was a boarder at Lahaina Luna High School and a member of the Class of 1951.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and a proud member of the Maui Chapter Korean Veteran's Association. He became a civil engineer, eventually serving as Director of the Board of Water Supply on Maui.
Carl is survived by his wife, Patricia; Sons, Sheldon (Linda Lee and Makai Graham) and Terrence; and grandchildren, Andrew, Crystal, Trisha, Jonathan, Amber. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Kaiama and Mae Haia; sisters, Maidie AhChan, Winona Rickard, and Alma Henderson; and brothers, William Kaiama Jr., Vernon Kaiama, and Roy Kaiama.
Services will be held April 23, 2026, with viewing at 9:00a.m., service at 10:00 a.m., and fellowship from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Makawao Veteran's cemetery.
