Carmen Fernandez Gazmen, 91, of Lahaina, Maui, died on April 14, 2013 at home with hospice care, and her fami
ly.
Visitation will be Friday May 3, 2013, 5:00pm, at Nakamura Mortuary, with services at 6:00pm. Visitation will continue Saturday May 4, 2013, 9:00am, at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina. Burial will follow 12:30pm, Maui Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gazmen was born on July 21, 1921 in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya to Balthazar Fernandez Sr. and Joaquina T. Fernandez. She was predeceased by her husband Salustiano Gazmen and brother Amado Fernandez.
She is survived by her sons, Ed (Arlene) and Glenn (Cleora); daughter, Josie (Mike) Dabir; grandchildren Cheyenne (Rich) Stook, Isaac (Vicky), Andrew, Jessica Gazmen, and Joshua Dabir; great grandchildren, Skyler Stook, Isabel and Isaiah Gazmen; brothers, Bernardo (Geling), Andres (Cecelia), and Balthazar Jr. (Gloria) Fernandez; sisters, Claudia Gazmen, Virginia (Julio) Gurat, Ester (Hermogenes) Carbonel; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren in both the Fernandez and Gazmen families; step grandchildren Hawea, Arlene, and Jerome Kahahane, Joey Friel; step great grandchildren Leticia, Zyrome, Shannalei Ii-Kahahane, and Rainna Kahahane
