Caroline Silva Cordeiro's Obituary
Caroline Castro Silva Cordeiro passed away on June 15, 2025 under Hospice Hale care in Wailuku. She was born to Louise Castro and Joseph Gomes Silva on September 10, 1929. She was a loving wife to Joseph Cordeiro. She was a graduate of Saint Anthony Girls High School, class of 1949. She enjoyed her job with countless children through the years, preparing them for a lifetime of education. She enjoyed reading, walking, playing cards and scrabble. She also loved the sparkle of Las Vegas. She was a kind and compassionate woman. She is survived by her children, Carla (Leonard) deAquino, Jo-Ann (Fred) Medeiros, Robert Cordeiro, and Donna (Alec) Probst. She had nine grandchildren, one Hanai grandchild, 11 great grandchildren and 2 Hanai great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings Philip “Jimmy” Silva, Wailuku, Patricia “Hazel” Rotella, West Virginia, and Mary “Harriet Amaral, Wailuku. Services will be held at Nakamura’s mortuary on July 29, 2025, 9 AM to 12 noon. The family would like to extend their thanks to Erin, Sarah, Allie and all the other angels at Hospice Hale. Her ashes will be interred at Veterans cemetery following the ceremony. Rest in peace mom, and God bless you.
