Charles Eugene Raine's Obituary
Gene Raine, of Kihei, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2017, under the care of Hospice Maui, with loving family by his side.
Services honoring Mr. Raine were held at Kihei Lutheran Church where the Raines have been members since moving to Maui in 2013.
Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Gene Raine was born on March 22, 1937, in Malvern, Iowa, to the late Mr. Charles & Mrs. Rheba Raine. Gene was a Tool Machinist and took great pride in perfecting his craft. He loved baseball, and still holds the record for most triples in a single season at Cal State. Gene was funny, quick witted, kind, gentle, heavily involved in his church, and a supporter of the arts, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Gene leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 22 years, Jeane Raine; children, Kathy (Ronn) Guier, Brent (Lauri) Raine, Carolyn (David) Keller, and Steven Raine; step children, Carrie Williams, Daniel (Frankie) Coleman, and Randy (Kim) Coleman; 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 1 step great grandchild.
