Charlie Louie's Obituary
Charlie Louie, 87, of Kahului, died on March 13, 2015, at his home in Kahului under the care of Hospice Maui.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2015, from 11 am to 1 pm, at Hale Mahaolu Elua Hall in Kahului. Family requests no flowers.
Mr. Louie was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, and was raised in China. He and his family were the owner-operators of a Chinese laundry in Philadelphia. He was a dedicated bowler, and spent many years also teaching his children and other friends to bowl.
Mr. Louie was predeceased by his wife, Lau Yuet Bo Louie, in 1968, and is survived by his sons Larry and Paul; daughters Rose and Doris; daughter- in-law Lisa; grandchildren James, Lindsay, and Michael; great-grandchildren Alyssa and Jessica.
