Christita Rich's Obituary
Christita Asuncion Rich passed to her rest on July 27, 2024, at Maui Hospice Hale at the age of 85. Chris, as she was known to her family and friends, leaves behind a daughter, Deborah (Chris) Kele, son Rocky (Samantha) Gomes, 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, sister Pel Felizardo, brother Ernesto (Valerie) Asuncion, sister Terri (Felix) Faborito, sister Linda (Gary) Blackwood, many nieces and nephews and Max her beloved poodle.
Chris especially loved the beach, traveling to far flung places and driving fast. She loved her cars, especially her corvette. She spent most of her nursing career as a pediatric emergency nurse supervisor in Virginia. After being diagnosed again with cancer, she and Max moved back to Maui in 2012 to be closer to family (and avoid doctors). She continued to work as a school nurse with special needs kids. Chris always remembered birthdays and holidays with the gifts for her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with the grands and greats. She and Max went everywhere together, he was her constant companion. It was a great comfort to her knowing that Max would be well taken care of.
No public services are planned. Chris wished to be cremated, and her ashes scattered by her family in a private ceremony.
Rest in Love Chris.
