Clarence "Hank" Pomail Peters' Obituary
Clarence “Hank” Peters, 37
It is with great sadness that the Peters Ohana announces the passing of a true Hawaiian, Clarence “Hank” Pomai Peters. Hank was 37 years young and passed away at his home in Lahaina on March 17, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Hank was born on December 10, 1980 to Arthur Peters of Lahaina & Nora Makahanaloa of Oahu. Raised in our beautiful home of Lahaina, Hank learned at a very young age how important it was to nurture the land and use it to live. Fishing, diving, and hunting became second nature to him and he did it with a passion. Hank worked with his ADP towing Ohana in Lahaina for over 10 years where he got to serve the people of his home. Hank was sharp, quick witted, hilarious and touched the souls of everyone he met, even if it was just for a minute.
Hank is survived by his father, Arthur Peters; Mother, Nora Makahanaloa, Hanai parents, Earl James Peters and Patricia Nishiyama, Four Sisters; Twin Lehua Peters, Tabi Makahanaloa, Besi Vakalahi, Meikaila Makahanaloa and the entire Lahaina community he called Ohana.
Please join us in honoring Hank at Waiola Church on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Visitation will begin at 8:00am, with services beginning at 10:00am. Hank will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park—Garden of Meditation at 2:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at Canoe Beach on April 15, 2018 at 11:30am.
