Clement “Bucky” Bak Jr., 81, of Kahului, Maui, (formerly of Kīhei) passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at Islands Hospice Maui in Kahului.
Born in Wailuku and raised in Camp Maui, Bucky graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1962 before attending Maui Technical School. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served in Vietnam. Upon returning to Maui, he worked for the County of Maui before beginning a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service. He started as a Postal Clerk at the Pukalani Post Office and later retired as a Letter Carrier from the Wailuku Post Office after more than 34 years of service. Beyond his career, Bucky was an active member of the Air National Guard, Nā Kai ‘Ewalu Canoe Club and Kaupo Wildlife Club. He also found joy in coaching Little League mentoring and supporting young athletes over the years.

Bucky had an enormous heart and always put others before himself.
