HAYASHI, Cynthia May's Obituary
Cynthia May Hayashi, 74, of Kealakekua, died peacefully in her sleep at Islands Hospice on Maui on February 7. She is survived by brother Jon (Amy) Hayashi and half-sister Marcia Nishino, and was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Chisato Hayashi and Mrs. May Misayo Hayashi, also of Kealakekua. Cynthia had a lifelong love of animals, nature, art, music, and Japanese culture. She was a prolific and talented artist with a special fondness for painting outdoor scenes reminiscent of bucolic Hawaii. Her sensitive and genuine disposition left an impression on those with whom she crossed paths wherever she lived. In honor of her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony.
