Dennis Wesley Donnelly's Obituary
Dennis Wesley Donnelly, 70, of Pahoa Hawaii, passed away on April 27, 2023 at Hospice Maui Hale. He was born on August 11, 1952 to Harry J. Donnelly and Doris S. Summerford (Donnelly) in San Diego, California.
Dennis was a gentle, kind, self-sufficient, funny and forward-thinking man with a green thumb. He enjoyed gardening, and had a passion for motorcycles. He also loved the band Pink Floyd.
Dennis attended Crawford High School in San Diego, California where he was a gymnast and a diver on the swim team. He went on to study Botany at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Dennis served in the US Army as a Parachute Rigger from 1971-1972. He also worked for the California Department of Forestry and then as an auto and motorcycle mechanic.
Dennis is survived by his niece, Summer McLean of Grants Pass, Oregon, his great-nieces Kyla and Avari and great-nephew, Ezra. He was also cherished by his dear friends Shawn and Jennifer on the big island of Hawaii.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Dorris and Harry Donnelly and sister Patty Donnelly.
Dennis was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
