Dominga Pineda Asuncion, 86, of Kahului, Maui, passed away on Septembe 5, 2012 at Maui Memorial Medical Center.Services will be held at St. Anthony's Church, Wailuku. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.; with mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park, Main Cemetery.Mrs. Asuncion was born on June 6, 1926 in Ewa, Oahu. She is the daughter of Zoilo and Victoriana Pineda.She was a homemaker.She was predeceased by her husband, Dante Asuncion in 1973 and predeceased by her children, Dante Asuncion, Lailani Delos Santos, and Oscar Asuncion.She is survived by her sons, Eddie Asuncion and Gerry (Daisy) Asuncion; daughters, Marilyn Asuncion, Irene Asuncion, Glory Asuncion, Sandra (Jaime) Malasig, Tita (Hertsel) Shadian, and Josie Asuncion; 19 grandchildren, Joanna Asuncion, Remalyn (Gilbert) Rosete, Rosemarie (Austin) Cho, Rene (Michelle) Tagudin, Paul Foronda, Aaron (Cherry Sumabat) Asuncion, Phillip (Emily) Malasig, Jaime (Sheilah Agcaoili) Malasig, Chelsea (Ruel Jr.) Espiritu, Anthony Andrion, Ashley Andrion, Jaydie (Austin) Smith, Jaylynn Rodriguez, Luke Asuncion-Sylva, Kimberly Asuncion, Kischa (Raye) Cabatingan, Joseph (Kathleen Layaoen) Delos Santos, Melanie (Corey Tom) Delos Santos; 15 great grandchildren, Jordyn Rosete, Sarah Rosete, Kian Cho, Zion Tagudin, Kingston Tagudin, Riley Malasig, Treyson Malasig, Hulali Brown, Kilohana Brown, Kaiulani Brown, Thor Cabatingan, Teya Cabatingan, Taylee Cabatingan, Tori Cabatingan, Kally Tom; a brother, Cresencio Pineda; and a sister, Patricia Ballesta.
