Mr. Donald Otis Gross' Obituary
Born 21 Nov 1933- 29 Dec 2016.
Born in Oliver Springs, TN. Graduated from Oliver Springs High School. After working with a construction company where he met his future wife, Wilma L Inman, he joined the Air Force and served his country for 28 years before retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. His last assignment found him at Hickam AFB. He retired in Hawaii where he lived on Maui. While in the military, he was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a council member and helping his boys while they were scouts. He was a beloved member of the community and very active with other charities including the Carole Kai Bed Race for over a decade. He was a valued member of the Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea and a dear friend to all. He always offered his expertise and services for the various community service projects and committees, and he was especially dedicated to the Scholarship Committee. He served as President during the 2011-2012 rotary term reflecting a perfect example of rotary’s motto… “Service Above Self”
He served as a past President, Officer and Board Member of the Maui Seasons For Peace. He was also an active member of the Maui Unity Church
He is survived by his four children, Derek, Michael, Donald (Mark) and Donna, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Death ends a life, but does not erase love or friendship.

Donald will be laid to eternal rest on Friday January 6th, 9:00 AM at Maui Veterans Cemetery
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cafe O'Lei at the Dunes on Saturday January 7th at 11:00 AM
