After years of cooking in restaurants on Oahu and Maui and owning a jewelry store, Don finally found what he really loved, ballroom dancing. He has been dancing for 11 years 5 through 6 days a week untill his illness. He always made sure that he danced with as many gals as possible to keep them on the dance floor. Don was always willing to go the extra mile to help with setting up the dance events as well as baking biscotti, cookies, delicate cakes, and spicy apple pies.
He acquired many nick names like "Dapper Don", "Don Juan", "Don the Mon", "Primo Don", and "Dr. D". While he will be dearly missed by many, he will be dancing in our hearts forever.
