Donald Yoshio Yamasaki's Obituary
Donald Yoshio Yamasaki, 75, of Kahului, Maui passed away on May 5, 2020 at his residence under the care of his loving family and Islands Hospice Maui.
He was born to Masamitsu and Edith Yamasaki on June 22, 1944 in Puunene, Maui.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Shirleyan, his four children, Stephen Yamasaki (Amy) of Oregon, Scott Yamasaki (Jodi) of Oahu, Shane Yamasaki (Lani) of Maui, Suzanne Smith (Sean) of Rhode Island and his six grandchildren Avery, Ashton, Kelcie, Dayna, Shannon and Emily.
Donald retired from the United States Postal Service after 39 years of service and published his book “Issei, Nisei, Sansei, Three Generations of Camp Life in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii” in 2013.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
