Dorothy Reiko Murakami's Obituary
On January 28, 2019 Dorothy Reiko (Tokunaga) Murakami peacefully joined her beloved husband Gordon in Nirvana. After retiring from her 40 year career as an accountant at The Maui News/Maui Publishing Co., Dorothy enjoyed bowling, doing different hand crafts, talking with her many friends, traveling, shopping, and most of all SHARING. She leaves behind her daughter Lori Takako Murakami (Dr. Luigi Pavone), her sister Thelma (Roy) Hisashima, nephew Dean Tokunaga, nieces Wendy Feldner & Debra (Domingo) Alboro, precious grand-nieces and nephews, and too many 4-legged grand-pets to count.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the following for the wonderful care Dorothy received towards the end of her life journey:
Maui Adult Day Care Centers - Nisei/Oceanview Center staff & Kahului Center staff
Maui Memorial Medical Center - Maui North & Maui East nursing staff
