Ah Yen, Duane's Obituary
Duane Ah Yen, 63, of Waikapu, Maui passed away on February 1, 2025 at
his residence. He was born on October 25,1961 in Wailuku.
Duane was a retired Painter from the State of Hawaii.
He grew up as an outstanding athlete and passed down his passion for
sports to his children. He was the founder and head coach of Hawaiian
Style Girls Softball Team, where his two daughters played. Sports was
his hobby. He enjoyed watching his 3 children play various sports as
well as being a spectator/ team dad at their daily practices and games.
He was a man of few words but many loving actions. He had a generous
heart and adored his family.
He was predeceased by his father, James Ah Yen.
He is survived by his wife, Leona “Lee” Ah Yen; daughters, Kristi Ah Yen,
Shauna (Timori) Ah Yen; son, Nawai Ah Yen; mother Priscilla Ah Yen;
sisters, Leila Ah Yen, Lorna (Darren) Carillo; brothers, Derek Ah Yen,
Darin Ah Yen.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at St. Anthony Church.
Mass will begin at 11:00 am. on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
