It sadden me to hear of Edwin's passing because I would love reading his insightful comments in the Maui News. At times like these it's nice to celebrate what he loved, enjoyed and stood for. There will be a great emptiness in the Maui News with his abscence. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues. At such a loss as this, it comforts me to reflect on the scripture in Revelation 21:4 " And he will wipe out every tear from their eys, and death will be no more. Neither will mourning, nor outcry nor paing be anymore; the former things have passed away." May God keep you and bless you...##imported-begin##Lehua Kalua##imported-end##
My deepest condolences to the Tanji ohana. Ed was always a gentleman, and a true professional in the world of journalism. It's amazing how many people's lives he touched as a reporter and editor. It was an honor to work with him during all those years at The Advertiser. I also appreciated the hospitality shown by Ed and Harolyn when visiting Maui with a co-worker a few years back.Aloha Ed, you will be missed.##imported-begin##Bart Asato##imported-end##
Ed, you always had a mischievous smile, but I think you took the cake when you said you'd cut off your pony tail if Mike Lyons wrote a check for $1,000 to the Maui United Way. He did and you did. Thank you for enriching our lives.##imported-begin##Emily Bott##imported-end##
