Elden Kitoshi Masusako's Obituary
Elden Kitoshi Masusako, better known as “Kito”, passed away on April 10, 2025 at the
age of 75.
Born on February 18, 1950 in Pu’unene, Maui, Kito was the youngest of four children and
the only son of Takeshi and Kiyoko Masusako of Makawao. He is predeceased by his
father, mother, and three sisters; Thelma Masusako, Rhodie Masusako, and Marvene
Moore.
Kito is survived by his wife Kapiolani D. Masusako; his daughter Kapiolani K. Masusako;
his two sons Enoka and Keahi (Lesley) Masusako; his two grandchildren Ronin and Rain
Masusako; and the fur babies Bun Bun and Sweetie.
Kito was a man of many talents including art, photography, music, carpentry, mechanics,
and so much more. In his younger days, Kito enjoyed surfing, fishing, and most of all,
golfing; which he continued well into his years.
As a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Kito exemplified what it
means to be a caring, thoughtful, and loving person.
Of all his accomplishments in life, he always said that what he was most proud of, was
the family he created and watching his children as they grew into adults.
Kito had a smile that always brightened up the room and his laughter was infectious. His
smile, warmth, and love will be deeply missed.
Our ohana welcomes family and friends to join us on May 23rd at 11:30am at Eddie Tam
in Makawao, to celebrate the beautiful life of Kito
