Elizabeth Louise Misner's Obituary
Elizabeth Louise Misner, 85, of Kihei left this world to be with her lord on May 18, 2022. She will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Betty (as she was known to her friends and family) was born in International Falls, MN on February 10, 1937, where she grew up and started her family. In October 1986, she moved to Maui.
Elizabeth worked as a manager and associate at the Elephant Walk for over 34 years. She loved her job and enjoyed meeting and getting to know customers from all around the world.
A charter member of the Kihei Lutheran church, Elizabeth cherished volunteering in many areas of ministry. Participating in the worship committee, Alter guild, choir, hula, women’s hui, VBS bible school and the prayer shawl ministry. She never met a stranger and was known for her kind and gentle nature, always meeting everyone with a smile.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Sarah and Arsene Ruelle; sister, Shirley (John) Aasen and her son, David Misner. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Romy) Galindo, Dawn Misner; daughter-in-law, Dana Misner; three grandchildren, Max (Annie Johnson) Misner, Eli (Amanda Schoen) Misner and Mikhaela (Dawson Burris) Galindo; nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Kihei Lutheran Church, 220 Moi Place, Kihei beginning at 10:0 a.m.
