Elsie Hisano Miyamoto's Obituary
Elsie Hisano Miyamoto, 93, of Waikapu, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side, on July 23, 2015, at Hale Malamalama in Honolulu.
Services in her honor will be held on Monday, August 10, at Nakamura Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a Service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Miyamoto was born on October 23, 1921, in Paia, Maui. Many remember Elsie as being the owner of Jerri-Jane's Fashions, a women's clothing store, in Wailuku and then later in Kahului at the Maui Mall Shopping Center. She spent over 40 years running the business, and was also a beauty consultant for Naris Cosmetics. Elsie enjoyed many activities such as gardening, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She loved life and was always busy and eager to learn new things. She was a devoted church member of Konko Mission of Wailuku.
Elsie is survived by her three children, Ranceford Miyamoto, Desi Miyamoto, and Jerri "Topsie" (Glen) Young; one grandchild, Alexander Young; and her sister, Peggy Yukiko Pagan.
