Emilia F. Barangan's Obituary
Emilia F. Barangan, age 82, of Elmwod Park Illinois passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022.
Emilia was born September 10, 1939 to Bartolome Barangan Sr. and Luz Fermin in San Nicolas Ilocos Norte. After Emilia graduated from Northwestern High School, she went on to study Education at Far Eastern University, Manila Philippines. After graduating with a degree in Education, she started her
first job teaching grade school in Davao City. She moved back to Ilocos Norte and taught at Shamrock Elementary School in Laoag City for a few years. Emilia worked at Maui Marriot in Lahaina where she retired as a Housekeeper for many years, some of the companies that she worked for were Alii Linen, Costco and Kaahumanu before she moved to Chicago and lived with her only sister. Emilia loves to sing, cook, and also fond of gardening. Emilia was a loving sister and auntie to all and will be missed forever.
A visitation for Emilia will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Christ The King Church, 20 W. Wakea Ave., Kahului, HI. 96732. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park MAUI VIEW GARDEN.
