Eugene Chambers' Obituary
Eugene Chambers was born to James and Evelyn Chambers on April 26, 1945. He was the 3rd of 6 children. Zelma, Leon, Eugene, Johnny, Ron and Janis. Preceding Eugene in death is his son Andrew Chambers and his parents James and Evelyn Chambers. Gene was a very studious student from kindergarten to 12th grade. Gene worked for the city of Phoenix in the Police Department and then becoming a surveyor before retiring after 33yrs. Gene as a little boy had an aunt named Goldie who would take him to the meetings of Jehovah Witnesses, Goldie being a witness and Gene's mom who was studying the bible with the witnesses. As years went by the family studies continued with a brother at the age of 18 Gene went into the Military service for 4yrs when he finished his Military Service, going back home in Phoenix the family was still studying so he continues his studies again with the family. At one point Gene decided to have a study of his own with a brother in the book, the truth that led to eternal life. Being a Policeman and making progression in his studies of God's word, he knew to move any further he would have to make a decision knowing that he could not carry a gun and a bible, so he chose to make the best decision and quit the police force so that he would only be carrying a bible. Gene made his dedication to Jehovah in 1970 and got baptized from that day forward Gene was willing in any capacity to serve Jehovah. Since on the Island of Maui. When the C.O ask our congregation, if we could support the hawaiian pidgin language. Gene immediately said "yes" as Gene was moving forward in his love for Jehovah, he met his wife to be Wanda Marie Gaines in a marriage of 54yrs they had 4 children, and Gene had a daughter from a previous relationship name Gayle. Gene is survived by his loving Wife of 54yrs Wanda, his loving children: Gayle (Adrienne) Salters, Terrence Eugene Chambers, Stephanie Michelle Rouse (Justin) & Mark Brandon Chambers (Destiny), 8 grandchildren & 1 great grandson, friends and family a like.
