I grew up in Kaimuki with Evelyn’s son Sean. Sean and I were best friends from the 7th grade in kaimuki Intermediate and remain so to this day.
I’m so honored to share my memories of how much love, respect and admiration Sean and his siblings had for his mother.
Through the years Mrs Pulawa was always so gracious to my friendship with Sean and always was so happy to see Sean and I remain friends for life. She was so smart and funny when I spoke to her always. It was clear after speaking with the ohana. She will be missed dearly. Uncle loved this hula dancer so much!!
