Felice Jean Leser's Obituary
Felice J. Leser, 99, of Kihei, died on June 5, 2014 at Hale Makua Kahului.
She was born in Michigan and moved to Maui in 1970 where she enjoyed a wonderful long life near the ocean she loved. Felice worked for 30 years as a medical office manager and stayed active playing the ukulele and pursuing hiking, bowling and golf. She was an avid reader and card player.
She was predeceased by her son, Jean Richard Howard.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Shelley) Nalepa; grandsons, Terry (Dori) Howard; Charlie (Elana) Essers; Rick (Patti) Howard; Larry (Kerry) Howard; Chris (Tammy) Howard; Judy Cline; Gayla (Steve) Haan; Jeanne (Ace) Jernstadt; hanai grandsons, Robert (Tina) De Rego, Ivan (Kim) Kwan, and Stephan (Bini) Gross; 23 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
Felice's great delight was the sea. Long into her nineties she enjoyed daily swims in the Pacific. We think of her fondly whenever we look to the ocean, and know she is swimming with her beloved Whales.
Scattering of Ashes will be held at 8:30 a.m. on June 27, 2014 at the Maui Canoe Club on Sugar Beach.
