Fernando Racosa Rabara Jr.'s Obituary
Fernando Racosa Rabara Jr., passed away under the care of Hospice Maui on May 5, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on February 10, 1951, to the late Fernando Rabara Sr. and Veronica Rabara. Fernando was predeceased by his loving wife Rosalinda J. Rabara, son Emmanuel Rabara, survived by his daughter Ma. Rowena Rabara, grandson Reginald Fernan, granddaughters Andrea Claribel and Arabelle Cassandra, great-granddaughter Elizabeth Riley, siblings Editha (Nemesio) Racoma, Angelita Rabara De La Pena, Josefina Rabara Verzosa (Deceased), Efren (Josephine) Rabara and Ofie Rabara. Companion, Alice Carino.
Fernando immigrated to Hawaii in 2005 and embraced Hawaiians his new home. He was employed by Maui Coast Hotel and retired in 2018. Being a dedicated employee and a hard worker, he earned several awards during his employment. Fernando completed Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Course from Feati University in Manila, Philippines. In Hawaii, he was a skilled carpenter involved in variety of projects, from building new structures to repairing existing ones. He was a very passionate cycler. He loved to ride his bike for exercise and recreation. He was a member of Pinoy Cycling Maui.
Another favorite hobby is singing Karaoke. Even just a simple event of our family, he has to have his karaoke machine set up. He just loves to sing.
Fernando will be remembered for his deep devotion to his family that even far distance will not stop supporting them, guiding them and loving them. He will truly be missed by his family and friends He will be always in our hearts forever.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, Maui. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Mass will be at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Lunch to follow from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Saint Anthony Church courtyard.
