Filomena Marilyn Catao Tranilla's Obituary
Filomena Marilyn Catao Tranilla, 88, passed away on February 9, 2015 at Pali Momi Hospital.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Sat. Feb. 28, 2015 at Maria Lanakila Church, with a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park.
Filomena was born on August 26, 1926 in Hamakuapuko, Maui. She moved to Lahaina in her teens and later married Francisco Tranilla on April 9, 1944.
She spent most of life tirelessly working and caring for her family in Lahaina. She retired from Royal Lahaina Hotel after many years of services until she was well into her 70's.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco; parents, Sepriano and Pausta, sisters, Amy and Claire; brothers, Alfred and Billy.
She is survived by her children Marjorie (Herbert), Rosalind (Paul), Robert, and Jerome (Lois Ann), 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, brother Eking, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mom, Grandma, and Aunty Mina we will miss you always.
