Florence Mutsuko Yamamoto's Obituary
Jitsuo Yamamoto, of Kahului, age 85, passed away on November 14, 2017. His beloved wife of 61 years, Florence Mutsuko (Fukutani), of Kahului, age 84, passed away on November 15, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Nakamura Mortuary for the public from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with service to begin at 5:30 pm. Mr. and Mrs. Yamamoto will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Jits was born on January 22, 1932 in Wailuku and Florence was born on February 26, 1933 in Honolulu. Jits retired as a golf starter at the Waiehu Municipal Golf Course. Florence retired from Haleakala Dairy as an executive secretary.
Jits and Florence is survived by their children, Floyd (Sunsu) Yamamoto, Lynn (Douglas) Chun, and Jon (Cindy) Yamamoto; grandchildren, Cody and Mandy Chun. Jits is survived by brothers Steve Toshio (Thelma) Yamamoto of Los Angeles, Tom Itsuo (Doreen) Yamamoto of Mililani and Mutsuo “Andy” (Tsuyako) Yamamoto of Pearl City.
Florence is survived by brothers Saichi Fukutani of Honolulu, Mabel (Masaru) Fukutani of Honolulu, and Yoshimi (Lillian) Fukutani of Pasadena. Family would like to thank Islands Hospice and Maui Memorial Medical Center for the outstanding care provided to them.
