Francis "Topedo" Cosma Jr's Obituary
Francis “Topedo” Cosma Jr., 58, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully at Maui Memorial Medical Center on November 29, 2017, surrounded by his loving ohana.
Services honoring Mr. Cosma will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Visitation will begin at 9:30am, with mass beginning at 11:00am. He will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Veterans Cemetery privately at a later date.
“Topedo” was born on August 21, 1959 in Wailuku to Francis Sr. and Estrella Cosma. He graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1977 before serving in the U.S. Army. Two years ago, “Topedo” earned his degree at UH Maui in Sustainable Construction Technology. He worked as a landscaper at UH Maui for the past two years.
He will be remembered as a hard worker with a sense of humor. You could always count on Topedo to tell it like it is. He enjoyed cooking, watching the History channel, catching Lahainaluna football games and spending time with his family and friends.
“Topedo” is survived by his parents, Francis & Ella Cosma Sr.; sister, Uilani (Kaipo) Nakooka; sons, Kawika Francis Cosma & Ikaika Kamamalu James (Roleen) Cosma; niece and nephew, Ashley & Austin Nakooka & mother of his children, Dora Mae Cosma.
